Erik Sannen, dog trainer and behaviour expert who also wrote “How to rear your dog without training” describes in “Dog problems solved” behaviour problems of dogs, what the cause could be and how to solve these problems.
Dog problems are not always behaviour problems, but behaviour that people see as a problem. It is fact that more information about a special breed gives you more insight of the behaviour of a dog. Guard dogs just bark and terriers like to dig. The book explains many occuring every day life problems, what to do if the dog is not able to stay home alone, to pee in the house, pulling on the leash and how can you teach a dog not to lie on the couch?
Behaviour that is shown in fear and aggression (there are different causes for that) is discussed in this book as well as exercises you could do to change bad behaviour. Furthermore are different therapies (play methods, bench training and so on) descibed.
A good book to have as a dog owner, to read it every once in a while and to refresh some memories.
